While most of our funds come from the recycling of bread tags, donations allow us to provide more wheelchairs.
To donate to Aussie Bread Tags for Wheelchairs, please use EFT: Account Name : Aussie Bread Tags for Wheelchairs BSB : 325185 Account : 03776138 Reference : individual or organisation name
Email us on aussiebreadtags@gmail.com after you have donated if you would like a receipt. We can issue a receipt for donations of $2 or more for tax purposes.
How are funds used?
All funds raised through the recycling of bread tags are used to pay for wheelchairs for the disadvantaged in South Africa.
We have very few costs : no wages, no rent – we are all volunteers and have no premises. Our only significant costs are renting a PO Box so people can post us bread tags, and the hosting of our website (the development and maintenance of our website is performed by a volunteer). At present we are funding the PO Box and website hosting via a grant. We may use donations to cover this type of expense in the future, but the bulk of donations will still go towards providing wheelchairs.
Did you see us on the 7.30 Report on 4 Jan 2021? Click below to view the segment (it was filmed in 2019, so we have grown significantly since then, but the story is the same).
